Oakland, CA, USANational solar distributor ThinkSolar and photovoltaic (PV) manufacturer, SCHOTT Solar, Inc have announced an agreement which will bring their successful European partnership to the shores of America. This announcement further expands SCHOTT Solar’s market reach within the United States.

SCHOTT Solar is a manufacturer of high powered panels featuring glass encasing on both the front and back of the (dual encapsulation) which increases the module’s durability. SCHOTT ASE-300 series modules, manufactured in Billerica, Massachusetts, offer a unique feature in that they are salt-water resistant, making them ideal for coastal installations.

ThinkSolar’s inventory of SCHOTT Solar modules will be manufactured in the U.S. and earmarked for American applications. SCHOTT Solar continues to grow in the United States, with a recent announcement that it has begun construction of a solar technology manufacturing facility in Albuquerque, NM. The new facility will initially produce 64 MW of PV products annually. Growth is anticipated to meet market and customer requirements.
