ThinkSolar CEO Promotes Solar Energy Before Texas State Legislature
ThinkSolar CEO Elmar Niewerth will speak before the Texas State Legislature on April 24th in a hearing to explore the statewide adoption of high performance building standards.
Niewerth, a mechanical engineer and energy efficiency expert, will discuss solar electricity for buildings and homes in Texas, with special emphasis on energy generation.
“Solar power is a reliable energy option, especially in Texas, which has the most renewable energy potential of any state nationwide,” says Niewerth.
“However without tax and legislation support from U.S. lawmakers, Europe will continue to take the lion’s share of modules, driving up prices and slowing the growth of solar in America,” Niewerth cautions.
