SolarMarkt US Changes Name to ThinkSolar and Expands Distribution Throughout U.S.

OAKLAND , California

SolarMarkt U.S. is now ThinkSolar. A subsidiary of SolarMarkt AG, the U.S. wholesaler has changed its name and expanded its portfolio of distributors to better suit its mission of bringing solar to all corners of America .

ThinkSolar’s manufacturing partners include Tyco, Day4Energy, SolarWorld, SMA and Kaco. By partnering exclusively with North American module manufacturers, ThinkSolar is able to offer lower shipping costs to U.S. contractors while minimizing the adverse effects of global shipping on the environment.

CEO Elmar Niewerth says the American solar boom is similar to the one he witnessed in Germany five years ago. “It is very exciting to see the same thing happening here in the U.S. ”

Although the Federal government has been slow to embrace renewable energy technologies, several states are offering innovative incentive programs to offset the cost of solar, and American Industry is also catching on, with Google and Coca Cola the most recent companies to join the solar bandwagon.

ThinkSolar will display their product line this weekend at Solar 2007 in Cleveland, Ohio . For more information, visit ThinkSolar’s website at www.thinksolar-us.com. For questions or interviews, please call or email Elmar Niewerth.
