ThinkSolar Signs Distribution Agreement with UniRac, Inc.

ThinkSolar, the U.S. subsidiary of SolarMarkt AG, has signed a distribution agreement with UniRac, one of the nation’s largest solar mounting system manufacturers. ThinkSolar will provide UniRac products to contractors throughout the U.S. for residential and commercial applications.

“ We share UniRac’s commitment to quality, innovation and the environment,” says ThinkSolar CEO Elmar Niewerth. UniRac’s Lean Manufacturing drive has been recognized with a 2007 Progressive Manufacturing Award from Managing Automation. Lean Manufacturing stresses systematic approaches to identifying and eliminating waste and any activities that add no value to the product.
UniRac CEO Doug May adds, “We believe that ThinkSolar adds a progressive dimension to our distribution channel in the U.S. Their knowledge, business model and technical savvy will be a big benefit to our customers.”

ThinkSolar is a wholesale product distributor and project integrator based in Oakland, California, with a sales office in San Antonio, Texas . A subsidiary of SolarMarkt AG, founded in 1985 in Freiburg, ThinkSolar provides U.S. contractors with wholesale solar products, engineering expertise, market analysis, and large-scale project management.

ThinkSolar will display their full product line September 20-22 at West Coast Green in San Francisco .
