The merge integrates and expands the global expertise of SolarMarkt and Wurth Solar to include PV wholesales, integration, and manufacturing of mounting systems and solar thin film modules. The merge is an essential part of the global diversity strategy of the Wurth Solar Group. It is the goal of the newly constituted Wurth Solar Group to grow at a faster pace than the PV market and achieve sales of over &650 million by 2014.
SolarMarkt AG is a successful PV wholesaler and system integrator with over 25 years of experience in the solar business. Through its subsidiary Creotecc GmbH, the company also operates as a mounting system manufacturer, product developer and dealer.
Wurth Solar is a leading innovator in the manufacturing of CIS solar modules and also sells complete PV systems through direct sales or approved service partners in Europe. Both companies are active in solar power plant projects across the globe.

Pending final approval by the German Federal Cartel Office, Wurth Solar will acquire a 100 percent share in SolarMarkt AG, including Session Solar and Creotecc GmbH, as well as all other foreign subsidiaries and project companies.

Session Solar, a subsidiary of SolarMarkt AG, is a PV wholesaler and system integrator, distributing high end solar products to solar contractors, and developing commercial solar installations. The California-based company was founded in 2007.
Creotecc GmbH:
Creotecc GmbH is an RAL-certified manufacturer of photovoltaic mounting systems. The products are based on more than 20 years of experience in the solar industry. Together with trade, industry and independent institutes, the mounting systems are continuously optimized and adapted to the growing needs. The goals of development are to achieve shorter installation times while ensuring high system quality. Creotecc GmbH also provides support in planning and developement during plant construction.
Wurth Solar GmbH & Co.KG:
Wurth Solar was founded in 1999 and in 2006 this global pioneer started mass-producing CIS solar modules in its own CIS manufacturing plant in Schwabisch Hall, Germany. The company is also a provider of complete photovoltaic systems based on CIS technology. Specializing in roof-mounted and roof-integrated applications, the company sells its products either directly to the end customer or through certified Wurth Solar service partners in Germany and throughout Europe. Wurth Solar also carries out ambitious facade projects in the field of architecture and offers turnkey solar power plants.
